Tourist Buses

The bus station – or buses or micros, as we say in Argentina- is located at 87 Antoine de Saint Exupery Street, in the Aeropuerto Viejo neighborhood, a 20-minute walk from downtown. From there, regular transportation lines depart to the Perito Moreno Glacier, El Chaltén, Río Gallegos and there are also buses connecting to other cities in Argentina. Also from there you can take a bus to travel to Puerto Natale in Chile to visit the Torres del Paine National Park.

At the bus station are the offices of the regular bus companies Cal-Tur, Taqsa, Chalten Travel, Always Glaciers, Andesmar, Bus-Sur and Zahaj.  Some of the companies enter the airport when returning from El Chaltén, but you should ask for information before buying your ticket.

The services that leave from here to the Perito Moreno Glacier have daily frequencies, they are usually cheaper, but do not include tour guides. Tickets are purchased over the counter and schedules vary according to the high season (spring, summer) or low season (autumn, winter). The bus station has a luggage storage service and places to charge cell phone batteries and a ping pong table. Across from the bus station there are fast food stores. And 400 meters away is the Tourist Information Office of the city and from there you can hire a cab service to another point of the city.
